I woke up this morning as usual, feeling especially zesty after a good night of resting in my tombstone. I was extra excited today because of a big announcement I had heard through the grapevine: a colleague of mine had invented the Stress Feeder. Of course, this was amazing news – as a vampirix, I feed off stress, and having a machine to make this task easier was an exciting prospect.
I spent the morning prepping for the unveiling of the Stress Feeder. I was the only one invited to the event, so I wanted to make sure I looked my best: cape, pointy shoes, and a cute little hat. As I struck out towards the location of the big unveiling, I noted I was DJing some retro rock music in my head. The perfect soundtrack for a big announcement.
When I arrived at the unveiling of the Stress Feeder, my expectation was immediately met: the machine was incredible! It was a real life astroportal, complete with a lightshow and multi-colored buttons. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before – and certainly perfect for me. So, I put the machine to work and within minutes, I had drained out all the stress in the room. Perfect!
But what was next? As soon as I was done with the Stress Feeder, I was already planning my next task. I had heard from a few of my friends that the new particle accelerator was operational and working better than ever. I dragged my cape and headed to the lab, ready for some experiments that wouldn't necessarily be reproducible back at my tombstone.
The particle accelerator was far more exciting than I had anticipated: it was a whole new world, full of possibilities. As we conducted experiment after experiment, I couldn't help but let my mind wander, dreaming of one day travelling to Mars and exploring a new planet.
At night, after a productive day of experiments, I retired in my tombstone as usual. I lay there, comforted by the familiar feel of my surroundings, and yet filled with a restlessness that wasn't present the night before. I knew my little dream was within reach, and I was determined to find a way to make it come true.
A few days later, I looked back on the events with a satisfied smile: new inventions, new experiments, and the drive to explore new Frontiers. It had been an inspiring few days, and I was more determined than ever to find a way to make it to Mars – and I was sure I would soon find the solution.
