Today was another day of attempting to conquer the impossible: getting to Mars. Of course, being a vampire and only able to survive in Transylvania makes finding a way to get away from this city quite an exciting challenge. Of course, when I'm not thinking how to create a rocket or who to ask for money and rocket parts, I like spending my time punning and pranking my friends.
Today was one of those days.
First, I had a long chat with one of my scientist friends. We talked about chemistry, astronomy, and quantum theory. As usual, I was pressing my friend to find out what is the best way to reach Mars. I was careful to not draw too much attention from my friend's colleagues, so I threw out a few puns and sneaky jokes to lighten the mood.
Once the conversation was done, I then headed to the local sculpture garden, which is always a popular draw for locals around here. I love to admire the art and thank the King of the Vampirix for such viewing pleasure. While I admired some of the pieces, I heard a rustling coming from behind me. Expecting a vampire attack, I was surprised to find a small black cat skulking around. It stopped and stared at me before miaowing. It seemed to want me to follow it!
So, I did.
The cat led me to a small back-alley where I found a rusty old door. I peered in, and it seemed like some kind of laboratory. I thought I heard familiar voices coming from inside, so I entered to investigate. Sure enough, there were my scientist friends again, and they seemed to be in the middle of a grand experiment.
As soon as they saw me, they were slightly alarmed but soon relieved when I told them I followed the cat. One of my friends then asked me to help them conduct the experiment. I agreed and we began performing trials on the machines. I kept giving suggestions and every so often, I inserted a pun or two to add humor to the situation.
After a few hours, we completed our experiment, and the scientists thanked me for my help. We then split up and went our separate ways.
I retreated to my den and reflected on the day. A lot was packed into it, from discussing quantum theory, to finding a secret laboratory, to helping my friends experiment. It was an exciting day, and I'm sure tomorrow will bring even more surprises.
