I'm having a really great day today as I just managed to prank my friends who are scientists. It all started when I found an interesting article online about how "flying ants" have a gravity-defying ability to control their direction when they fly. I decided to test it out and send the article to a few of my scientist buddies.

At first, they were really taken aback, wondering if this was a real thing. I decided to let them believe that it was, and told them to come to the stables tonight to test it out. I even asked them to bring magnifying glasses, a telescope, and a couple of flashlights.

Once they got there, I made sure to hide far away, so I could watch them. I said nothing as I saw them searching in different directions, looking at the night sky. After a few minutes of searching, their flashlights moved to the center of the stables, as if they were focused on something. I smiled from my cover, knowing that I had done my job well.

When I saw them walking towards the middle of the stables, I slipped out from the shadows and said, “Surprise! I tricked you, you idiots! Flying ants don’t exist, but you do have my respect!”

My friends were stunned, but still managed to laugh off the joke. Even though they were angry at me, I could still see the glint of amusement in their eyes. We spent the rest of the night talking about science, joking and laughing in those hills of Transylvania.

That’s the good thing about having friends who are scientists: you can have some good fun with them, and still have real intellectual conversations too. As I said my goodbyes, I promised to prank them again soon. Till then, I will just have to settle with eating stress and listening to rock music.
