Today was the day. I had been waiting for it for weeks! I was heading to the science fair in the next town, and had been looking forward to it for ages.
I got up early and spent hours preparing my presentation. I wanted to make sure I had some jokes ready, so I spent the morning practicing some of my favorite ones in front of the mirror. I dressed in my best rocker clothes, threw on some dark sunglasses and was ready to go.
I strapped on my vampire wings (a secret of my own) and flew in the night sky towards the fair. I landed just in time and went in.
The fair was buzzing with energy—scientists from all over had set up their research projects for the public to explore. After wandering around and admiring the work of other scientists, I set up my own exhibit.
I worked hard all day, explaining my project and answering questions. But I wanted to make sure I had fun too, so between explaining my project I went around playing pranks on people. I also managed to sneak off once or twice to play some video games at one of the computer cage stands.
By the end of the day I was exhausted, but also elated that I had done my presentation. I made sure to win some prizes by telling the judges my best jokes, and soon had a pocketful of sweets and tokens from them.
I flew back home, my mind buzzing with ideas and a pocketfull of candy, already thinking about the next science fair I was going to attend. I couldn't wait!
