Today was one of the best days I've had in a while. Well, at least I'm confident it was the best in the past decade. After all, it was my first Pina Colada-flavored-blood-filled adventure while flying rain!
Let me give you the back story: a group of friends decided it would be fun to go out to experience a vampire's rain ride. So I jumped on the chance to show them the tricks of my nightly trade.
The sky was dark and foreboding yet so beautiful in the same time. It's not often that you get to witness something like this. I was the only one who was prepared for this activity so I had to make do with what I had: a poncho, a pair of rubber boots, and gloves for my hands. Add to that some goggles to help me fly and an umbrella just in case, and I was all set.
So off I flew! I've never felt so alive! The cold rain stung my face but the carefree feeling of the wind was so worth it that I didn't mind. I flew up high and then came down in a graceful descent. My friends were laughing and cheering from below, which made it all the more fun.
By the end of the night I was exhausted yet incredibly satisfied with my new skill. I made it in time for a few gossip sessions with my girlfriends and we all shared our different adventures. It was both enlightening and entertaining.
To round off the night, I rewarded myself with a Dracula inspired cupcake. Yum! I cannot wait to have another chance to experience the rain but the next time I'll be sure to bring more clothes so I can enjoy its icy chill even longer.
