I’ve always liked to throw a curveball at the world. Today, I threw a curveball at myself.
I woke up feeling different. I felt a compulsion, an urge to do something wild and reckless. I threw on some old clothes and headed out into the night.
First, I looked for trouble. I found it in the form of an old shopkeeper, who was trying to get rid of some unruly customers. But before he could get them to leave, I stepped in. I let out a blood-curdling scream and sucked the stress right out of their bodies. It gave me a boost of energy and left them feeling relieved and happy, like they had just had the world's best massage.
Turned out I had just unleashed my vampire side. Back at home I spent hours on the internet to learn more about vampire lore, vampire lifestyles and how to best control the cravings that come with being an immortal.
I also discovered that I loved shopping, splurging on the occasional designer clothing, shoes, jewelry and other areas of indulgence.
My friends got used to my nocturnal excursions and soon my life became a routine of sleeping during the day, partying at night and always being on the lookout for vampires, who seemed as attracted to me as I was to them.
Tonight I was out at the mall, searching for the perfect new outfit. Of course, being a vampire, all the malls seemed to close earlier than usual, so I had to think on my feet and wasn’t quite sure what to do next.
I found myself in front of a new club that I had never seen before. I figured why not live a little and go inside. The music was wild and the atmosphere was electric. The dancefloor was packed with people, all having a great time. I had a great time too and was soon lost in the beat of the music.
The night went by pretty quickly, and before I knew it, it was dawn. I made my way back home, feeling an invigorated and full of energy. My vampire side satiated, I went to bed dreaming of wild adventures to come.
