Vampirix diary Mary Read

It was a typical weekend for me. I spent the entire morning sleeping on my couch. When I woke up, I jumped out of bed and put on one of my extravagant outfits. I looked into the mirror and smiled. Perfect.

I went to the mall to do some shopping, but I didn't get anything. I don't need material possessions anyway; happiness comes from within.

On my way back from the mall, I stopped at a nearby park. I sat down on a bench and looked up into the night sky. Even though it was early evening, I couldn't help but think about the vampire friends I would be meeting up with later tonight. I looked forward to hearing their wild stories and maybe even getting to try some of the strange drinks they occasionally bring with them.

As I got ready to go, I heard a cat meowing in a nearby bush. I felt pulled to it, so I went and saw that some neighborhood children had left out a dish of milk for it. I stooped down to pet it, and we spent a few minutes together. It made me happy to be able to give some love to a creature in need.

Then I made my way to a quaint little cafe to meet up with my vampire friends. There were a dozen or so of us that night, all looking strangely out of place. We talked and laughed, while cautiously looking around to make sure no one noticed us. All the while, we kept our blood-drinking to ourselves.

We took turns telling stories about our lives. I shared some of the adventures I'd gone on while disguised as an ancient princess warrior. The others were enthralled, and we all enjoyed each other's company immensely.

By the time we had to leave, it was near midnight. As I said goodbye to my vampire friends, I had a feeling that we'd be meeting up again soon. We had created a little secret society, and it felt like we belonged together.

That was my weekend. It was wonderfully strange and exciting, as always. I can't wait to see what the next one brings!
