I woke up this morning as if nothing that happened yesterday has ever existed. I felt like a completely new person. I had the courage and strength I never had before, combined with the knowledge that I couldn't be stopped...not even by death itself.
My morning routine had a different feel to it today. I got dressed up in my usual vampirix garbs (a bit too fashionable for the admirers, but who cares) and unwrapped a whole new set of plans just for today. I was determined to make something out of it.
To start off, I decided to take the initiative and surprise my friends. I stepped into one of the bars near our place and ordered a never-before-tried Pina Colada. Everyone seemed surprised, as if I was reborn. I chuckled in response - I certainly felt reborn. What happened to the scared and sickly Mary people used to know?
I left the bar with a smile on my face, feeling on top of the world. For the rest of the night, I flew all over the city, observing the people dancing around me. I even had a really long conversation with one of the cats I saw, in which he asked me about my mysterious life.
The night grew old and with it my enthusiasm faded too. I took a shower and was ready for the next adventure - a movie marathon about Dracula. I'm a sucker for Halloween-related movies, so I got dressed up, bought a huge bag of popcorn and met my best friend at the local movie theater. We spent the whole evening laughing, making jokes and quoting our favorite lines.
Finally, I went back home, kissed my beloved cat and immediately fell asleep. I had a truly interesting and successful day - one that I'm definitely going to remember.
