Today was completely wild. I woke up to the sound of singing birds which I thought was quite odd. I sat up in my bed and realized the birds were all coming from within my room. Looking around I spotted dozens of colorful parrots resting on my end table, my nightstand, and even on my ceiling fan. I just shook my head in confusion and flopped back on my pillow.
What next? I thought.
I checked my phone to see what was happening in the world and as soon as I opened it a small ginger cat poked its head out of the screen. I couldn’t, for the life of me, figure out how it got there, but I guess I’m used to such odd occurrences by now.
I got out of bed and stretched before walking down the stairs. As soon as I reached the bottom, I felt a cold wind blow through the house. I heard a loud thump, and turned to see a large bat stretched out on the floor. I just stared at it in disbelief. It was almost as if it had been trying to fly down the stairs and ended up just crashing.
“Well,” I said out loud “I guess there’s no better way to start the day.”
I made some breakfast, which consisted of a juicy baguette filled with tomatoes, cucumbers, and garlic. Then I decided to take a quick tour around town. As I was walking, I spotted a few people in the park with Dracula masks, so I thought to myself, why not join the festivities.
I jumped over the fence and started a game of tag with the masked people. We were all laughing and having a good time. Then I noticed an open window in a nearby building and I decided to investigate. Lo and behold, I found an entire store filled with clothes from around the world.
I picked out a few items and was just about to pay when I saw a tall woman in a white dress emerge from behind the counter. She handed me a card and said, “You will be sure to find whatever you seek in this store.”
I thanked her, paid for my items, and left the shop. I continued my tour around town until eventually I had to go home. As I was walking, I noticed the sky was starting to get dark. I realized it must be time to head back.
I arrived home, promptly changed into my new clothes, and settled into my bed for a good night sleep. But just as I began to doze off, I heard a rumbling noise outside my window. I quickly jumped out of bed and saw a massive dragon swooping down the street.
After a few more minutes, the dragon flew away and the street was silent again.
Thankfully things don't always have to be so wild around here.
