Today has been a strange day, indeed. It started as a normal one; I woke up early, like I usually do, and got ready for the day. I decided to go outside and flew to the edge of the hills of Transylvania. From the top of a nearby mountain, I saw the sun rising. I watched in awe as the vibrant red and orange colors spread across the horizon, and thought of the famous words of Leonardo da Vinci, “Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.”
The air beneath me was peaceful as I went for my morning stroll among the trees, my feet barely making a sound on the soft leaves. I stopped when I heard a strange noise. At first I couldn't believe my eyes, there was a small group of scientists setting up an experiment not far away from me! It seemed like they were trying to build a space capsule, with the intention of launching it to Mars.
I was about to go closer to get a better look, when I felt something bump into me. I quickly spun around, but there was nothing there. I looked down and saw a small, round creature with two eyes peeking out from underneath one of the rocks. It was a vampirix, like me! It squeaked and hissed when I said hello, then scampered away faster than I could blink.
I couldn't help but laugh at this strange creature, but then I was reminded of my mission – to stop the scientists from launching the capsule. I quickly flew back to the group and explained the potential danger in their plan. They were very understanding and made the necessary adjustments to prevent any mishaps.
As night set in, I made my way back to the comfort of my home with satisfaction, knowing that I had help save the day. I was almost asleep when I heard a voice from outside. It was the vampirix! It had followed me and was asking me for my help. I nodded and listened as he told me about the humans coming up the mountain to catch him. I quickly got dressed and ran back to the group of scientists. We all quickly donned our scientific camouflage and started to hide the vampirix amongst us.
When the humans reached the top of the mountain, the scientists greeted them with scientific facts. The humans were so amazed that they had no choice but to retreat back down the mountain and let the vampirix stay.
As we walked back to our respective homes, I knew I would never forget this strange and wonderful day. Who knew that science and vampirix could work together? I guess it just goes to show that anything is possible with the right attitude.
