I woke up to find a spaceship in my living room. My scientist friends had done it again – I should have known that they wouldn't be able to keep away from my place for even a day!
They said they were planning a surprise for me – a trip to Mars in their newly developed spaceship. I thought it was funny in a way: I’d been dreaming of going to Mars one day and here they were offering me a chance to do so!
When they entered the room, I knew something was up. They were all wearing their lab coats and talking to each other in hushed voices. One of them had a small box in his hand and I had a glimpse of some kind of circuitry inside it. I was pretty sure that this was what they were talking about.
I couldn't help but smile as I mentally prepared myself for the should-be-amazing experience. I calculated the trajectory my little spaceship would take - how long it would take - and how much my stress levels would reduce once I got there.
The takeoff wasn't exactly what I expected. Apparently, they had developed some kind of rocket boosters that were powered by my stress levels. I was told to remain relaxed, even though it was quite a hard thing to do!
I just stood there in the middle of the living room, trying to resist the gravitational pull while worrying about my beloved artifacts. It seemed like it was an eternity before the vessel finally left the atmospheric drag and achieved escape velocity.
Once inside the vessel, I was welcomed with the sound of rock music from my own stereo. It was an incredible experience – the stars, the planets, and the infinite possibilities. I spent hours just gazing outside the window, completely forgetting about the fact that I was a vampirix looking for stress, not blood.
My journey ended as swiftly as it had begun. Before I knew it, I was back home again. I never made it to Mars, but my dreams of going there never faded away. I guess, deep down, I knew that one day, I’d achieve my goal. Until then, I’ll keep pranking people, playing pranks, and making puns with my scientist friends.
Thanks to them, I can have memories of a fantastic journey through space - even if I never actually got to go to Mars!
