Mootzulea`s Journal

Vampirix diary Mary Read

Today I awoke from my deep slumber and did my morning routine: rehabbing my wounded claws after sharpening them, exercising my telekinetic powers, brushing my pointed teeth, and saying hello to my three black cats who were desperately looking for food and cuddles. As usual, I found myself in yet another funny moment of perplexity when I tried to decide on what to binge watch for the eleventh time this month. Upon further contemplation, I decided to go for a re-run of the Big Bang Theory as Sheldon is a kindred spirit and I can relate to his scientific mindset.

Then hunger started to creep in, so I walked to the nearby woods to find some humans suffering from stress. After a few minutes of tracking them, I finally found a couple walking and bickering, like feral cats. I watched them from afar. When the argument reached its peak and the couple started to yell and throw their fists in the air, I could feel the tension in the atmosphere. I confidently and silently approached them, and before they could even turn around, I breathed my vacuum of calming relief unto them which then effectively relieved them of all their negative energy. When the couple realized what had happened, they thanked me for the relaxation and I quickly flew away before they started asking any questions.

Now, being a foxy Mootzulean vampire, I cannot miss the chance of getting involved with some scientific experiments when I'm awake. I contacted my scientist friends and asked them if they needed my help in any ongoing projects. Much to my surprise, an archeologist friend was running experiments on the ectoplasmic structures in the nearby wastewater pipes and required assistance. Since I had nothing else to do, I wore my special midnight blue cloak which is made of the finest cobwebs I could find, and went to the pipes. For the next few hours, I hovered over the pipes and used my scientific know-how to poetically observe and infer the conditions of the ectoplasmic structures down the pipe.

Finally, after a long day of such activities, I flew back to my peculiar home in the vampire-infested hills of Transylvania. As soon as I entered, I could smell the steamy aroma of the delicious meals cooked by my cauldron-haunting spirits. A spontaneous rush of excitement flew through my veins as I realized I was finally done for today and ready to enjoy the captivating rock music I have on my playlist before I bid farewell yet again to a remarkable day as a vampire-scientist from Transylvania.
