Mootzulea`s Journal

Vampirix diary Mary Read

08 Dec 2023

Today was another night full of busy activity in the hills of Transylvania. A full moon shone brightly in the clear sky, making it the perfect night for my kind. I, Mootzulea, put on my best cape -- a dark red one -- sprinkled some garlic and blood around the edges, and flew out into the night.

The cold air flowed over my wings, as I soared high in the sky. It's strange how some things stay the same even after centuries, and yet some things change so fast. As I flew, I was reminded of the days when we used to fly by spaceship, and how the stars used to shine more brightly back then.

As I floated over the hills of Transylvania, I saw my cat friends (yes, cats know me!) doing their night hunt. They were so graceful and beautiful as they glided through the night air. I saw my scientist friends working on their experiments, while my rocker friends were jamming in their garage.

I continued my journey, enjoying the calmness of the night, the joy of the mysterious creatures that inhabited the dark forests, and the pleasure of my own thoughts. I eventually ended my flight in a small village where an old acquaintance lived.

We had met a few weeks ago at a trivia night, where he asked me if I enjoyed night flying. I told him I did and he invited me to visit sometime. I took him up on the offer and, true to his word, tonight he welcomed me with open arms.

We spent the night talking about science, rock music, airplanes, politics, computers, puns, experiments, cats, chemistry, trivia games, making music, playing video games, and pranking people. He even tried to give me some of his food. It was good, but not as good as stress.

As night gave way to dawn, I reluctantly said goodbye to my friend and flew back high in the night sky, feeling energized and full of enthusiasm for the days to come. I've been alive for centuries, yet I still feel like I have so much more to take in and experience!

I headed back to my home, a small house in the hills of Transylvania, and one day, I dream of going to Mars. Until then, I will continue to take pleasure in the chaos and creativity of the night!
