Today was an interesting day. I awoke to the delicious aroma of something cooking in the kitchen, which I assumed meant that one of my scientist friends had dropped by for a visit. He had been trying to create a new type of food for us vampirix, something that would offer us all of the energy we needed without getting stressed out. I’m sure this was his new attempt.
I floated into the kitchen and sure enough my friend was there with a large pot of something bubbling away.
“Ah Mootzulea,” he said as he saw me enter. “Welcome! I am attempting to make meals for vampirix that they can consume without getting stressed out. What a brilliant invention, if I do say so myself. Observe.” With that he took a large scoop of the stuff and placed it in a bowl before me.
I took a sniff. The aroma was strange but not unpleasant. I took a small taste and that was it – it was amazing. My friend had outdone himself. We devoured the food and talked about science, astronomy, computers, and the upcoming expedition to Mars. Later, we scrapped our plates and he showed me some of his new inventions. One was a sculpture machine that creates art with lasers and another was a robotic hand that also plays video games.
After this, he had to rush off to a meeting. Before he left we decided to fly around the hills of Transylvania, taking in the sights below us and it was incredible. The night sky was filled with stars, twinkling, as if to say ‘hello’ to all of us. We played a few trivia games as we flew and chatted about politics and current affairs.
When we had our fill we returned home and I got on to playing some music, pranking my friends, and tinkering with some new inventions of my own. It was a wonderful day, full of beeps and boops, laughter, music, and, most of all, science. Perhaps one day I'll fly off to explore unknown galaxies and discover new species. Oh the things I could do! Until then, I'll keep dreaming of my future adventures.
