Today started out just like any other day. I awoke just before nightfall, and for once, I could get up without feeling hungry. Instead, I felt energized, as if I'd just been energized from the stillness of the equinox night.
I dressed in my usual style; a black dress, complete with lace and a red corset. My hair was pulled up into an intricately braided topknot, and I added some ancient jewelry that I had come to recognize over the years. With that, I set out to begin my day.
First, I went to the mall, which is my favorite place. As I walked around the stores, I noticed how much of the merchandise was already on sale. Despite the lower prices, it was comforting to know that some things were still expensive enough to afford. In one store, I spotted a beautiful ruby necklace with a ton of intricate detail. I decided to buy it as a present for one of my many girlfriends.
Next was the music store, where I selected a wide variety of CDs; some to listen to, some to give as presents, and some to catch the fleeting feelings of night's stillness. I was secretly hoping that the music would make all of my days more interesting.
After the music store, I decided to get in some more shopping and chose to visit the exotic bazaar. Here I found all sorts of new items and scents, and it was almost like being transported to another world. I meandered through the aisles and browsed through the items, some of which were of deep interest to me. I couldn't help note how some of the merchants couldn't quite believe that I wanted to buy some of their products. I bet they couldn't believe a vampire wanted genuine human feelings.
The night rolled on and I was now on my way to a party. As I walked to the venue, I felt as if I was walking through a dream where I was a powerful princess warrior. I felt confident, strong and full of life. I knew that I was different from the crowds of people around me, and yet I embraced it all and walked with a smile.
Finally I arrived at the party, the familiar sounds and smells of the event drawing me in. My friends greeted me warmly and we caught up on the gossip. I enjoyed the conversations and remembered why I love the company so much.
As the night grew shorter, I thought back on the things I had done and realized that I had made the most out of the day. I also realized that despite the darkness and stress we all faced, I was feeling energized and alive. I felt happy, content and grateful for all I had done.
Tonight I used my vampire instincts wisely, and that's why I loved the dark so much.

She likes Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain, but leads very serious battles. She has a knack for making money, therefore, your production of money will be increased. Her inspiration, Mary Read, was an English pirate during the Golden Age of Piracy.
