I woke up today feeling very unusual. I made my way to the kitchen, and as I let out a huge yawn, I caught sight of a tiny bat flying around my head. I was certain it was a sign - I murmured to myself that I should go out tonight and make some money.
So when the clock hit ten, that's what I did. My first destination was the local mall. I felt excited to be out and about - even though I know how people might react to the sight of my pale skin and odd fashion sense. I strolled around the mall, not stopping for too long. I wanted to keep moving and making money by the time I left.
I stopped for a minute by the candy store to fuel up with a Pina Colada flavored gummy. As I bit into one, a weird feeling flooded over me. I felt strangely overwhelmed by the night sky, the buzzing of the mall, the smells of all the different foods I could buy. I had to remind myself to keep moving.
So I tried on a few items in the clothing stores - mostly things I would never wear. I don't know why, I just couldn't help it. As I walked around, I just couldn't resist stopping at different stores and people watching.
As I left the mall and headed towards the park, I felt more and more energized. I quickly bought some comic books - mostly about Dracula - and began reading as I walked. Suddenly, I heard some distant laughter in the dark. I realized there was a group of people in the park, gossiping and partying.
As I watched from a distance, I thought how it would be nice to join them and immerse myself in the ancient warrior princess of my dreams. However, I quickly reminded myself that this was not the time for day dreams. I had to focus on making money and quickly get out of there.
So, I discretely made my way to a richer neighborhood and began looking for things people had carelessly left behind. I found a jewelry box, a pair of shoes, a scarf and several bags of coins. As a reward for my hard work, I decided to buy some more Pina Coladas before heading home.
It had been an exciting evening - I had managed to make a lot of money and had so many strange and unexpected experiences. I was almost home when I heard a voice asking if I wanted a ride. Looking up, and to my surprised, I saw that the driver was a vampire no other than Mary Read. She introduced herself, saying we have much in common.
It took a moment for me to take in what was happening - and before I knew it, we were sharing our stories, laughing, and I felt like I had found a long-lost friend. It was an incredible moment that made me realize how unpredictable life can be.
And so ended an exciting and memorable day. With a smile, I say goodbye to my new vampire friend and walk home - feeling grateful for all the things I experienced and ready for the adventure of tomorrow.
