Today was an interesting day. It started off like most days. I slept until I felt like awaking, what time that was, I couldn't tell you. I woke with the sun streaming through my window and a lightness about the air that promised something new. But I was not content just yet, I still felt a prickly feeling in the back of my mind. I knew something was coming, an unknown force that wanted to be acknowledged.
Instead of following this feeling, I shrugged it off and preoccupied myself by taking a batbath. I emerged from the murky underground waters in a magickal trance, my powers heightened, and I ventured out into the streets.
At the mall, I began my day of exploration. I could feel the eyes of everyone around me as I stepped up to the counter. They weren't scared, more curious, but I could sense the questions they wanted to ask. I ignored them and paid for what I wanted in cold cash, the clerk gazing at me in wonder as I walked away.
I continued wandering, now completely surrounded by a sense of excitement. I could feel mysterious messages coming to me from the shadows. They spoke of things I hadn't known, and I seemed to understand them. Everywhere I looked I saw secrets being revealed, whispers in the night that only I could here.
I felt powerful and invincible. I wanted to take on the night, and so I did. I flew high above the city, the stars twinkling beneath me. I dropped down into the night, drinking in the secrets and enjoying the power I felt.
Eventually, I returned to my home and settled down in the darkness. I could feel the energy from earlier still pulsing through me. I could feel the questions from those strangers at the mall, and now the answers seemed clear. Was I a vampire? A princess warrior? A dark creature from the night?
The answer seemed to be all of those things. I felt my powers at my fingertips, capable of contentment and joy, of mischief and mystery.
As I prepared for bed, I couldn't help but smiling at the adventure I'd experienced today. I was happy to have followed the signs, and for a moment I felt truly alive. I closed my eyes, ready to embrace the night and the secrets it would bring.
