Vampirix diary Mary Read

I woke up with a strange and cool breeze, like a refreshing slap in the face that made me want to scream but laugh at the same time. I stood up and brushed my long, black hair out of my face and stared out the window in mesmerized state. I had no idea if it was morning or night, but the moon was out, painting everything in a pale, silver light.

My room was filled with the sound of a hundred cats, clawing, meowing and purring in the night. I laughed out loud, turning around to smile at my kitty minions. I put on my crown and flew out the window, bidding them all goodnight and sweet dreams.

The air outside was heavy and the stars twinkled in the sky like little flashes of hope and joy. I loved to explore the night, searching for adventure, mystery and intrigue. As I flew, I heard the chatter of a dozen conversations all around me, discussing politics, money and gossip.

At the mall I slipped inside, careful to stay out of view. Slinking through the aisles, my eyes gleamed as I went from one counter to another, picking out the newest trends and swooning over the sparkly ornaments. I spotted some interest things, but couldn't take them, no need to draw attention to myself.

Feeling thirsty, I decided to grab a Pina Colada and head to the beach. I found a spot in the shadows and sat down with a smile. The salty ocean wind mixed with the fruity sweetness of my drink, sending a tingle down my spine as I watched the waves crash against the shore.

As I relaxed and unwound, I breathed in the fresh scent of the night. The city was alive with creativity, music blaring from the streets and lights radiating from every corner. I felt so connected to the world around me, like a young princess warrior from ancient times.

Finally, I decided to head home. As I flew off into the night, I was content and blissfully unaware of what tomorrow may bring. I knew that no matter what, I could always rely on my vampire sisters and friends for support.

For that night, I was free, content and happy. Nothing else mattered.
