Today was a great day. The sun was shining and the birds were singing. It was a beautiful summer day, but I could sense that something was off.
I went to the mall with my friends and as we were walking around, I noticed that a few of the shops had their doors and windows taped up with police tape. It was strange, but my friends laughed it off and we just kept walking.
When I got home, I heard a loud thud coming from my bedroom. I crept in slowly and when I flicked the light switch, I was surprised to see a large man standing in the middle of the room, leaning against the wall. He said his name was Dracula and he had something he wanted to show me.
He took out a book and opened it up to reveal a map of a far away island. He said it was an ancient vampirix and it had been hidden away for centuries. He wanted to take me there and show me the secrets of the island. Instinctively, I accepted.
We rode for days on a sailboat, only stopping for food and supplies. We eventually reached the island and I was amazed by what I saw. Everywhere I looked there were signs of ancient vampirix civilization, painted symbols and statues and all sorts of strange artifacts that I'd never seen before.
At the center of the island was a large castle. Dracula led me inside and showed me a secret room. Inside this room was a strange machine that he said could channel energy so that one person could feed off of the stress of another. Dracula offered to teach me how to use it so that I could gain power and fulfill my destiny as a vampire.
So, I agreed and for months I practiced using the strange machine and eventually I learned how to control it. Now I can feed off of people's stress and take sustenance from it. As strange as it may sound, I'm grateful to Dracula for showing me this path and giving me this new power.
Tonight I feel like an ancient princess warrior. I'm ready to take on the world, to make money, and to cruise through life with the wind in my hair and a taste of adventure in my mouth.
