I woke up feeling slightly more savvy than usual today. I tossed and turned in my bed, a restless, but satisfying night's sleep. I remembered, with a sense of purpose what I had to do today.
I got up, showered, and then headed to a nearby shopping mall, my inner warrior primed to explore. I perused the stores diligently, eyeing the merchandise and dreaming of what I could buy with a few slithering coins. Before I knew it, I had purchased quite a few items I really didn't need, but enjoyed nonetheless. It was almost like the mall was a magical realm of happiness.
The sun outside was setting and I realized I should make it back home; my friends would be waiting. We were having a Vampire Pajama Party; a very special event for us weirdos. I was excited to show off my purchases and tell them the tales I had encountered at the mall.
As I entered my own property, I noticed a familiar sight. It was the silhouette of a gargoyle at the edge of the forest right behind my home. It had been with me for some time; a dark and treacherous guide when I make my night flights. It reminded me of my purpose; I wasn't here for mundane activities but for something else entirely.
When I arrived back at my place, I found my friends already there. We shared jokes and listened to music, talked about politics, and ate some close-to-exotic food. It was a delightful evening – a perfect way to end the day.
As I yawned and got ready to call it a night, I heard a light knock on the door. It was an unexpected guest: a small white cat, with piercing green eyes that sparkled in the fading sunlight. It was as if I had summoned it here.
I thought to myself, could this be an omen of things to come? I could only hope so. I petted the little kitty and wished it a good night before I headed off to sleep.
