I was having a night out with my girlfriends when I noticed to my surprise a small bat flying above us. I thought it was so strange and strange in a good way, so I started following it, curious to find out where it was taking me.
After a while it flew back to a garden outside of a scary old castle. I couldn't believe my eyes - there was a secret party going on inside with loud music and filled with mysterious people. I was sort of excited but also a little scared to enter, so I hung back for a moment while observing from a safe distance.
Then a tall figure appeared at the door. He seemed to be looking for somebody in the crowd, so I couldn't take my eyes off him. Suddenly he looked at me and his gaze made me feel like he was trying to hypnotize me. He seemed to be pretty old, like maybe thousands of years. He was wearing an old-fashioned cloak and a mysterious smile.
He looked like a vampire, and for a second I was scared out of my mind. But then he started walking toward me, and I started to feel really curious. I found myself being drawn toward him, and before I knew what was happening I found myself being dragged inside.
When we entered the party I felt like being part of a strange wave of energy, and I couldn't help but join in the fun. There were people dancing, playing cards, making deals, and drinking - and I was feeling a kind of thrill that I had never felt before. There was magic in the air.
I also noticed a group of people sitting in a corner - my friends. We smiled at each other, like sharing a secret adventure, and started talking. Turns out, the old vampire had invited them too, somehow.
The night went on and on, and eventually I said goodbye to my friends and left with the old vampire. We talked for a while, of things like money, Dracula, politics, travel, and music - and then he suddenly turned into a bat and flew away. As the sun was rising, I found myself back at the garden outside of the old castle, scratching my head in confusion, wondering what the heck had just happened.
It's been weeks since that night, and it still feels like this whole experience has been one big dream. But it also feels like I grew wings and flew away.
