I woke up this morning feeling more energized than usual - must have been all the Pina Coladas I drank at the party I was at last night! I brushed my hair and teeth, feeling my fangs just a little bit - but that didn't bother me. They were a part of who I was - a vampirix, a small but powerful type of vampire. I knew I could feed on the stress of those around me - so being around people was never a problem.

I opened my closet and saw a long black dress that I hadn't worn in a while. I knew it was the perfect outfit for a day like today. I threw it on and adjusted my hat and smiled at my reflection.
I took a few steps back and admired how my heels made me look- almost as if I were an ancient princess warrior.

I grabbed my purse, keys, and sunglasses and set out for the nearest mall. It was my goal to make as much money as possible so I had to stay on the lookout for deals and discounts. I stopped at a few stores and evaluated the items. I was willing to pay the full price only if it was truly worth it.

I passed by a few cats, who seemed to be mesmerized by the dress I was wearing, and received quite a few stares. I didn't mind - and it didn't help that I was humming along to Dracula's theme. I guess people do not expect a vampire to be listening to classical music, I thought to myself with a giggle.

When I reached the mall, I quickly made my way to the food court. The smells were enticing, so I decided to grab some food from an exotic stand. I got some strange-looking noodles and sat down to eat.

I took a deep breath, taking in the diverse sounds. Laughter, gossip, and music all mixed together into a frenzy. It was so calming.

I wasn't alone. A few of my vampire girlfriends and I got together and started to chat. We talked about the mall, the new trends, the different clothes that were there, and just laughed about everything that happened last night.

We left the mall with bags of presents for each other, and made our way back home. As soon as I stepped back into my apartment, I noticed something strange - someone had left a strange note on my door. It simply said: I know what you are.

I quickly opened the door, my heart racing - but nothing else was there. Maybe it was just a prank, I thought. But night flying does have its own risks, and I had to be prepared for anything.

I thanked my stars and went to sleep, feeling calm and a little bit scared. Tomorrow I would have to find out who knew what I was and why they would be so bold to leave a note like that. For now, I just was thankful the secret was still safe and sound.

The sun was shining outside and I knew I was ready for whatever the day had in store for me. With my vampirix's powers and the ambition of a pirate, I was ready to make the most out of the new day. Fingers crossed nobody was about to doubly cross me.
