Today was an ordinary day. Nothing out of the ordinary. That is, until I landed back at my home. It was late in the evening and a light rain had begun to fall. Seeing as I was already drenched, I decided to take a moment to enjoy the moment.
I closed my eyes and started to take it all in. The sound of the rain washing away my worries. If only everything could be this refreshing. Suddenly, I heard a noise coming from my porch. It was me, but not quite. A loud cackling laughter like a magpie, drawing my attention.
Confused, I opened my eyes and saw a small figure standing there. It looked like a little girl, but I could also make out some fangs and bat-like ears. She giggled and flew away, leaving me in my confusion. Was that a vampire?
My neighbours had seen it too, and so the gossip began. Were there really vampires in town? We tried to figure out what was going on, but it soon faded away until the next time.
Vampires weren't the only thing I was into. I also liked Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain. Who doesn't? Then there was the usual suspects when it came to hanging out with friends: music, drawing, movies, politics, night flying, jokes, cats, Dracula, mall shopping, gossip, giving presents, travel to exotic countries, eating exotic food.
Tonight, however, I was in the mood for something mystical. It was calling out my name. And I remember thinking how appropriate it seemed. To spend a night in the rain, dancing and laughing with a wild vampire girl.
Maybe I could make a new friend.
