I woke up after a night of partying with my girlfriends, all exhausted but happy. We had been dancing at a nightclub until the sun started to come up and then we decided to head back home. I could feel all the stress that had been building up during the week draining away, and I wanted nothing more than to relax and unwind.
My first stop was the mall. I felt like spending some money, so I bought some new clothes with all the interesting shapes and sparkly jewelry. I wanted to enhance my look, I never looked good enough for my own taste. I felt fabulous and powerful in my new outfit and that made a pleasant difference.
I went to and fro through the mall with no hurry just like an ancient princess warrior, and I caught sight of Dracula in the distance. He was looking at me with a kind of admiration and I couldn't help but take a picture out of sheer curiosity. I wanted to learn more about him and meet up for a chat later.
My next stop was the pet store where I bought a tiny white cat with beautiful blue eyes that I named Mim. I wanted to take it home and give it a chance to see the sun light, it was so sad that cats were so restricted in their lives. I was determined to let Mim be free and to make her see the world.
Today also was a special day for night flying. The flying was so different at night. It was like being in a foreign country without any recognizable landmarks or boundaries. I flew so high, that it felt like I was touching the stars.
After the flight I felt a deep feeling of satisfaction and empowerment. I was definitely alive.
When I got home, I took some nap and then some of my friends came over to chat. We talked about all the new gossip, our extravagant lives, and all the hilariously weird things that happened during the night. After a while I felt like it was time to go out again, so we went to a club for some tasty food, drinks, and dancing. It was a strange mix of the present and the past. A mix of vampires and pretenders, of old and new, the weird and the fascinating.
As the night kept going I felt the stress of the week leaving my body, and I could feel a new strength enter my veins. I knew this was it. The feeling of being in control, free and alive, and knowing I was able to do whatever my heart desired. I guess I always was a vampire, even if I didn't know it.
