Ah, life as a vampire has its uniquely amusing moments. Take today, for example. I woke up with the sunlight streaming in my window, and instead of my usual impulse of growling and throwing the covers over the windows, I said 'Good morning sunshine' in a cheerful manner and jumped out of bed ready to start my day.
First, I had my morning snack: a generous helping of stress, which my vampirix teeth are designed to suckle on. Thankfully, since I live in the hills of Transylvania it is quite easy to find.
With my stomach content, I decided to go for a short flight and survey the area. Transylvania boasts many amazing sights, and from the air I could just make out the castle looming on the horizon, which naturally made me daydream of possible conquests (not that I want to conquer anyone, mind you).
The flight gave me a pleasant break from my scientific research, and I enjoyed the freedom of just flying around and watching the scenery. It was while I was in mid air that I heard someone shout, “Mootzulae!”
It was a group of my scientist friends, on their way to a conference. I decided to circle around and fly down at a leisurely rate to talk with them. Though we were speaking about serious scientific matters, I couldn’t help but joke around and test their sense of humour.
Of course, this wasn’t the only event of my day. Back home, I breezed through some computer programming chores, caught up on politics, and even recorded a few songs with my friends.
But the real delight came in the evening, when I climbed down to my garden and worked in the twilight surrounded by the hilariously spooky atmosphere of my vampire home. I pranked my cats, put some sculptures together, did a bit of gardening till late, and thoroughly enjoyed my peaceful life.
It was perfect.
Ah yes, life as a vampire is certainly never boring.
