I just can't help my life. Everything just keeps piling up and up, and it's starting to get overwhelming. I was flying around the city last night, trying to lose the stress and forget my worries, but it just doesn't seem to work. I feel like I can never escape it, no matter what I do.
But that's okay, for I know I'm strong enough to get through it all. Sometimes I just need someone to talk to, a distraction of some sort. That's why I'm always accompanied by a few close friends, a lot of the time. The conversations and banters lighten my mood and make me feel better.
I also find a weird sort of comfort in shopping. Sure, it doesn't really help to reduce the pressure of the situation, but it just takes my mind off it for a while. I don't care if I buy something or not, the goal is to just enjoy your time while you're out. I like checking out all the little shops and boutiques, and dreaming of traveling to exotic countries.
But I always find my way back home to my cats. Those little creatures make all the worries seem so distant. They always find a way to make me laugh, whether it's with their silly antics or the odd noises they make.
Sometimes I just find myself in my own delusions, imagining I'm a fearless princess warrior of a mythical land. I know it's just a figment of my imagination, something I made up to help me relax. But still, it's enough to make me feel empowered and special.
My wildest days and most unique nights are usually spent at the mall, talking endlessly with my friends while dancing to all my favorite songs. I get really loud and start prancing around like a crazy person. It's all so incredibly stupid, but somehow liberating at the same time.
At the end of the day, I guess I just want to be happy and forget all my stresses. So I guess I'll just keep on trying to find new things and keep up with my daily routines. Maybe one day, I can escape all the pressures of life and be at ease. But until then, I'm going to keep on living my life, the Mary Read way.
