I started my day humming a song I heard last night when I was out night flying. It felt like the perfect sound track to the surrounding moonlit sky. After a while, I flew back and when I got home, I made myself a cup of Pina Colada as I usually do. I added a dash of rum to it, feeling like a true ancient pirate as I sipped it.
My cat jumped on my lap, purring like a tiger, and I hugged him tight. I started to draw for a bit - a battle between a princess warrior and an undead vampire. Somehow my drawing always turn out to be weirdly accurate. I wondered if I have some kind of connection with the past.
I smiled and shook my head, trying to come back to the present. After some time, I got ready and headed out. I love shopping, it's my ultimate way of stress-relieving. I went to the mall and just walked around, people watching.
When I was done with shopping, I headed to another friend's place for a small get-together. We gossiped about the drama around us. We certainly don't live dull lives. Then our conversation went to discussion about politics and economics until my head started spinning from all the information. Everyone drifted off after a while and I stayed back for a bit longer before heading home.
As I flew back home, I noticed the skyline of the city sparkling in the night. It's one of the most spectacular views I've ever seen.
When I got back home, I decided to make one last stop at the nearby cafè — a place I often go to in the late hours of the night. As I walked by the small shop, I noticed something I haven't seen there before — Dracula materializing in the form of a life-size collectable figure. I couldn't resist and went inside to buy it.
Now, I'm back in my room, my vampires figure right next to me, and it's time for me to either start a new drawing or hit the bed. There is nothing else to do.
As I let the day draw to a close, I feel so lucky to be living this life — a life filled with adventure, strangeness and unpredictable twists. Just the kind of life that I feel most alive in.
