I am Mary Read and I am a vampire. I know what you’re thinking – how a creature like me can survive in the 21st century. But my kind has been around since the beginning of time, and we have a way of adapting.
Today started as any other day. Up before the sun, I flew around the city, exploring the deserted streets and alleys for potential sources of stress to feed on. While all other life was tucked away beneath a blanket of darkness, I breathed a sigh of contentment. There was beauty in the emptiness, beauty in the freedom that came with it.
Flying through the night sky, I often stopped to admire the stars. I sometimes wondered if I was the only creature in the universe that had this view.
After some time of flying around, I made my way back home. But instead of heading straight there, I decided to take a pit stop at the mall. I always enjoyed shopping, and tonight seemed like the perfect time to pick up a few presents. I strolled up and down the aisles of a department store considering all the different options. After a few hours, I had finally determined what to buy. I made my way to the checkout, paid for my items, and went on my way.
A few hours later, I arrived back home. I was met with a surprise. Sure enough, my lovely girlfriends had all made their way over and were eagerly chatting away. It was nice catching up with them after so long; it felt like a lifetime. After a few tasty Pina Coladas, we decided to take a ride.
Nothing weird happened, just some quality girl time. We talked about everything from politics to the latest gossip. It was lovely. As the night grew longer, we decided it was best to head home. But, of course, some vampire mischief was inevitable. So, we quickly transformed into our own vampire versions of ourselves and flew up above the clouds, and just took in the sights of the night sky.
The moon and stars were glowing and it definitely was one of those nights that I’ll never forget. Every minute we spent above the clouds brought out a new level of excitement and awe. I couldn’t help but wonder if there were other creatures out there enjoying the same view as me.
Eventually, our expedition was done, and we made our way back home. I crawled into bed, happy and content, and drifted off to sleep, dreaming of the beautiful night sky and the possibilities that it held.

She likes Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain, but leads very serious battles. She has a knack for making money, therefore, your production of money will be increased. Her inspiration, Mary Read, was an English pirate during the Golden Age of Piracy.
