Today was one of those days when I felt like I could do anything. I woke up feeling strong and ready to conquer the world, and not even the fact that I recently fed on a particularly stressing energy was enough to stand in the way of my mood. I grabbed my jacket and a pair of sunglasses and decided to take a walk downtown.
The streets were covered in a mixture of colors and faces, and I advanced with my usual confidence, sure that even if someone recognized me for what I really was, I had nothing to fear. People were talking and shouting all around, but I stayed safe in the midst of this contagious noise - I knew that those people had nothing to do with my own Otherworld.
My feet took me straight into the mall, and I spent some time there, delighting in the way the lights and the shop windows made it look like a giant candy box. I bought some clothes, snack and partied with my friends in our secret, dark corner. Afterwards I decided to take a walk in the cages of old, rusty objects that the mall provided as rubbish.
The shades of the night were falling and it seemed like all the nocturnal creatures with which I shared the world were coming to life. Those noisy, vibrant colorful beings were the perfect company to fill the night with life and energy. I took turns with them, sometimes running around crazily, unaware of my body in the midst of all this chaos.
The world felt like my own and nothing could scare me, no matter the hour or the situation. I thought of dancing with my backdrop of midnight stars, but then I realized it was time to go home – my job was done for the night. Back home, I had a nice, fresh cup of Pina Colada and a gossip session with my girlfriend before retiring to my coffin and feeling like a real ancient princess warrior.
